Hi, my name is Emily! I’m 26 years old and originally from Wales, but currently living out of my backpack on the other side of the world.
The typical quit-your-day-job-go-travelling tale. I lived in London for three years working in an office, and although I was lucky to have loved what I did, I had always dreamt of travelling. When I turned 25, I had a “quarter-life crisis” you could say and knew I had to live for the now and take the plunge. So, I handed my resignation in, packed my bags, said farewell to loved ones and boarded a plane for Thailand.
That was seven months ago. I have since visited six countries, experiencing different cultures, making new friends and taking the time to do what felt right for me.
I consider myself very fortunate to be able to travel so far and for so long. I hope this blog inspires others to travel also, be it a distant land, or somewhere close to home. Travelling is not about the distance covered, it’s about the experience. Life is a collection of stories.
Thank you for visiting my blog and I hope you find it helpful! If you have any questions or would like to get in touch, you can reach me here!
The scariest thing is taking that first step into the open. Leaving behind the comfort of home may seem daunting, but there is a world of possibilities ahead.
